Joseph Crookshank III, MD, is an Interventional Pain Management Specialist and Anesthesiologist.

As an interventional pain management specialist, Dr. Crookshank’s goal is to reduce, manage, and mitigate chronic and acute pain to improve and restore functionality, quality of life, and ability to perform activities of daily living. These goals are achieved through minimally invasive, pathology-directed outpatient interventions. Interventional pain management treatment also strives to help patients return to their productive everyday activities as quickly as possible without reliance on medications. Throughout his medical education and post-graduate training, Dr. Crookshank has been involved in numerous advanced clinical research studies. He has a special interest in neuromodulation, nonopioid based management of chronic pain, and pharmacological research.

Dr. Crookshank is board certified in Anesthesiology and Interventional Pain Management by the American Board of Anesthesiology. He is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, American Society of Regional Anesthesiologists, North American Neuromodulation Society, International Neuromodulation Society, and served as a member of the American Board of Anesthesiology Resident House of Delegates.
