Matthew McCabe, DPM

Foot and Ankle Specialist, Resident

Foot and ankle specialist Matthew McCabe, DPM, was selected as the first resident for the CHRISTUS St. Patrick Hospital Podiatric Medicine and Surgical Residency Program, which is a partnership with Imperial Health.

Originally from Littleton, Colorado, Dr. McCabe received his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from Utah State University and earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. McCabe is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the American Podiatric Medical Student Association, the American Society of Podiatric Surgeons, the American Academy of Podiatric Practice Management, and the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine. Dr. McCabe also has volunteer experience in community organizations and the Podiatry field, and has his private pilot license.

Because the residency is part of a Center for Orthopaedics (CFO), an affiliate of Imperial Health and the region’s largest musculoskeletal group, Dr. McCabe works closely with experienced orthopaedic surgeons and specialists, and also works within the group’s Sports Medicine Program, which provides services to McNeese State University and 14 area high schools.
